            POSITION SUMMARY

            Overview

            Squad4 is seeking a highly-motivated and passionate HubSpot CMS Developer to help us deliver beautiful, engaging, and impactful digital experiences for clients and internal projects.

            The HubSpot CMS Developer will help architect, design, develop, and deliver websites and digital projects while working closely with squad members and our clients. Our ideal candidate will be a zealot for delivering awesome digital experiences that focus on customer outcomes and results.

            Responsibilities & Daily Activities

            This role has client-facing responsibilities including but not limited to: technical consulting of web development capabilities, web development in various platforms and frameworks, cross-platform web development testing, email development, client training, etc.

            • Using HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery to build and style web pages and emails to support clients mostly within HubSpot CMS
            • Responsible for the success of website projects for our clients as well as internal web development initiatives
            • Loading and styling templates into the HubSpot ecosystem and restyling them to match the website’s branding
            • Responsible for collaborating and working with designers, UX specialists, project managers, QA specialists, and marketing consultants to ensure the delivery of high-end web products to our clients
            • Projects will mostly be built on the HubSpot CMS, but other CMS or content management and marketing automation platforms such as WordPress or Shopify
            • Involvement in website redesign project phases including requirements gathering, wireframes, creating approval decks, design, development, internal testing, user testing, launch, and post-launch support
            • Each phase has built-in processes that require iterative improvements to help with the overall goals of rocking the customer experience as well as keeping projects profitable
            • Utilize strong attention to detail to create quality code based on internal web development standards
            • Give realistic estimates of work and deliver on those timelines
            • Learn Inbound Marketing and Inbound Sales principles to help facilitate our client’s marketing goals and KPIs
            • Engage in self-learning activities to improve technical skills
            • Proactively identifies, troubleshoots, and addresses issues as they arise
            • Responsible for the improvement and maintenance of web development processes by proactively gathering input from internal and external stakeholders and providing feedback and suggestions to management
            • Improve HubSpot knowledge by attending training and certification programs
            • Maintain the drive to be passionate about delivering a customer experience that exceeds expectations

            Qualifications For Success

            • You’re a self-starter, knowledge-seeker, and have a deep desire to continuously improve
            • Zealous attention-to-detail for code quality, design, and communications to company standards
            • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate challenges to project management and business leaders
            • Ability to provide realistic estimates for work and delivery timelines
            • Authorization to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship required
            • HubSpot CMS certification preferred, but not required
            • Hands-on practical developer experience building templates, modules, and working with themes in HubSpot
            • Working knowledge and experience with HubL and HubDB
            • A minimum of 2 years of experience developing in HubSpot is required, experience across multiple CMS systems preferred
            • 4–5 years of Front-End Developer experience including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, mobile responsiveness, web development best practices, email templates, and the desire for self-learning to take on additional tools and frameworks as needed
            • A minimum of 2 years working with a framework like ReactJS, Angular, or Vue.JS
            • A minimum of 3 years of experience in enterprise website and CMS technologies
            • Basic working knowledge of backend programming logic to work with languages such as PHP on WordPress sites or other CMS
            • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with PHP and WordPress or Drupal
            • Working knowledge of version control systems such as Git and SQL database basic is required to deliver quality products to our clients
            • Strong understanding of HubSpot both from a general user standpoint, as well as from a development perspective whether using the Visual Builder or coded templates
            • Ability to create application assets (images, etc.) from PSDs using Adobe Photoshop or Sketch while maintaining the full integrity of the original design
            • Strong written and verbal communication and the ability to communicate challenges to project management and business leaders
            • Experience using project management and bug tracking tools
            • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and administrative skills
            • Organized, dependable and detail-oriented
            • Always a Team Player (Squad focused)
            • Understanding of an experience implementing SEO is a plus
            • Experience with animation/motion graphics a plus
            • Experience building RESTful APIs a plus

            Salary & Compensation

            Salary: $75,000 – $95,000 (USD) DOE

            At Squad4, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
